Exciting Changes at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce!

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has undergone significant changes following the election of a new board in December. We are excited to introduce our newly appointed board members who are eager to serve and support our community:

  • Richard Loch - President (Returning Member)

  • Tessa Cox - Vice President

  • Christa Perry - Treasurer

  • Lacy Hanes - Secretary

With fresh leadership and renewed enthusiasm, the board has been meeting weekly to ensure a smooth transition and to plan initiatives that will benefit our local businesses and residents.

Our Mission

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting local businesses and enhancing the quality of life in our rural community. We strive to be a unifying voice for commerce, advocating for businesses, providing valuable resources, and promoting Canadian, Texas as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit. Through collaboration, innovation, and strong community engagement, we empower businesses and individuals to thrive in an ever-changing economic landscape. We encourage everyone to Choose Canadian - supporting local businesses, investing in our community, and strengthening the future of our hometown.

Upcoming Events and Initiatives

4th of July Committee: We are organizing a committee to plan and execute this year’s 4th of July celebration. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to us. The first committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 10th at 6pm at the Business Hub.

CommUNITY Mixers: We are excited to introduce CommUNITY Mixers, open gatherings where community members can share their needs, businesses can be highlighted, and networking opportunities can flourish. Our first CommUNITY Mixer will be held at the Palace Theatre to celebrate its reopening. Stay tuned for more details!

A Volunteer-Run Organization

At this time, we do not have paid personnel to greet visitors at the Visitor Center. We are working on long-term solutions for this as we know it is important for people to be able to access information when visiting Canadian. In the meantime, visitors can gather information across the street at the River Valley Pioneer Museum. We have successfully regained access to our website, email, and Facebook page. However, as we are now operating with a volunteer-only board, we kindly ask for your patience as response times may be slower than usual.

Our Goal for the Year

Our primary focus is to restructure memberships and rebuild trust in our ability to support and enhance our community. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to working together to create a thriving and connected community.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. We welcome your input and participation as we move forward. Let's make 2025 a fantastic year for our community and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce!
